No Theory in Sound – Eora Festival

So … back in June, I curated a half-day music experience/festival called: NO THEORY IN SOUND.

Was honored to showcase my favorite sound makers coming out of Sydney … Jonti, Joshuah, Manfredo Lament , The Honey Bees Gospel Choir, Ashli , LDVRY, Lily Innis and Ritual. Everyone came correct , as expected.

To everyone who bought tickets , thank you for being a part of the very first NTIS (depuis 2024) – We’ll be back next year and the greater Australian scene will be represented.

NTIS is a reminder that theory has it’s place but what’s needed is a deviation from what’s familiar or has been done before. Theory bows down to SOUND not the other way around. Negate and leave all you know at the steps of the stage, respect the room, the open ears and what’s required for that moment. This is why we improvise. I’ll be able to describe this idea better one day.
